I’m a photojournalist specializing in action photography, from fires to the football field.
My passion for photography began with a passion for sports. As a graduate and record-holding track athlete for Central Washington University, I spent weekends alternating between competing in the triple jump and shooting my teammates in their events for the school newspaper.
I moved to Los Angeles after graduation in 2012, and in 2013, I attended Western Kentucky University’s Mountain Workshops in Owensboro, KY. Six months after the workshop, I landed my first staff photographer job at the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.
In September 2017, I started as an editor with Getty Images.
Outside of photography, I enjoy weight lifting, wearing nerdy glasses, and making up original cocktails.
I also do some basic art direction for ad campaigns, and social media copywriting for individuals and brands.
My work has also appeared in Buzzfeed News, the Huffington Post, and the Associated Press, and has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association’s Best of Photojournalism 2017 contest, the California Newspaper Publishers Association, the Press Photographers of Greater Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Center of Photography.
I’m available for freelance assignments in Southern California and beyond, with the ability to transmit photos on location and on deadline.
